The California Center for Research on Women and Families (CCRWF), established in November 2000, is a program of the Public Health Institute. Kate Karpilow, Ph.D. serves as Executive Director.

CCRWF is the sponsor of the California Working Families Policy Summit and also publishes policy primers to educate policymakers, program providers, and the general public about policy issues in California. CCRWF also directed the CalWORKs/Child Welfare Partnership Project, aka Linkages, and published the Linkages Planning Guide.
